--> Oct 17th: Now much improved with Jonbro's help! Re-install script for seamless integration with menu bar. Click "google search" and search box appears on every page on em411. Special thanks to Jonbro!!!

After reading comments by some people wishing for a more conventional site search I decided to learn how to use greasemonkey to add a little google search window directly to em411's main interface. It only works in mozilla/firefox with the greasemonkey plugin.

install script
more information on greasemonkey

Also, my greasemonkey programming skills are.. well, almost nonexistant. So if anybody has any thoughts on how to make it better let me know and I'll change it.

have a good one,

erm..i might be wrong, but i think it stops the page updating. either that or em411 is a bit fucked. my blog and forum comments haven't changed in ages on the front page, even though they have changed.

its probably just the site. nice work!

Maybe I'm finally going to learn how to install these 'scripts'. Been too lazy, but seems like cbit here has done a great job.

This is great! Thanks a lot. It should be a standard feature on the site.

let me know if you got my emMail quicks.

jonbro did a great job - I love his update to this script! I'm leaving the username field in the script the same (with my name), so people can install it over the top of the old one, but this new version is his baby- and it rocks.

Nice! I didn't notice what he did until I noticed a "google search" button in the menu. Sweet!

AHHHH IS IT GONE?????

it still shows up for me..

random pic mad me lol a little in my mouth
