Sometimes I use Sheepology version 7
and Herdsmith 2.4. Also.

It lets the sheep provide and enriches the
wool for shaving, yes cats too.

Cubase Sx for final mixing, with ableton live and bidule for processing stuff.

Reason
FL6
Acid (for final mixes)

i'd like to update and say i use Renoise moreso than Reason now
and samplitude 8 for sample editing / cleaning and mastering witchcraft
also izotope ozone for compression and omgbrickwalling

dood.. no wonder yer mixes sound so amatuer. Everybody knows FL and Reason don't sum as well as those other sequencers. :P
j/k they sound way better than mine.

here's my current setup.

Rrenoise for most writing and sequencing..
Ableton to do it live..
and Cubase LE for sample editing and shit (when it actually works properly)..

I wish I could afford Cubase SX.. probably won't ever want to fork out teh money for it tho.

using DP a little now but still mostly audiomulch and logic.. though some hardware sequencing is going on too.

just layed out a track in live. ned to get it into logic to mix it.

same old shit.

monkvolcano: WHAT? Reason sounds badasss. plus they got the new m-class mastering devices. I'll have to tentatively agree with you on fl6 though. i've been working on some small pieces to send you too. they're mostly about your mother

I use live 6 exclusively, did anyone other then me notice an overall improvement in summing compared to 5?

well, I noticed that the improved metering definitely helped my ableton live mixes - as a result I don't drive it as hard which leads to nicer mixes.

do my hands and feet count?

i was purely ferking wit you data.. go to dogsonacid.com .. half the threads there are 16 page debates about whether Logic or Cubase or whatever 'sounds' better than FL and Reason.

I love FL and Reason very much. they are awesomo. unfortunately, I'm trying to do most of my producing on legitimately purchased software, and they are not part of my core set up.. I know one day I'm gonna have to fork out the dough for FL.. lifetime free updates for chrissakes..

and btw.. i order that part for my pc, i should get it by friday, so that I may start making little bits about your mother to send you.

ardour.org

adobe audition. I like the interface a lot, although it has essentially no midi support. When i need midi i use Live to make the melody/whatever then render into audition. i make music that has no meter, otherwise this way of working would be pretty nonsensical.
