--> my trip was fun. landed in oslo, walked around a lot, awesome weather (20 degrees!), hot people. then took a train to gothenburg, rad buildings, good food, cool museums. then went to malmo, rad buildings, good coffee, and met the most excellent leonid. went out for indian food and watching some footie. and drank, and drank. it was fun, i really enjoyed meeting an old em411 friend.

then went to helsinki for stfu, which was simply one of the best experiences of my life. the music was amazing, everyone i met (or saw again) was so rad, i had so much fun! jukka is the best host. helsinki is a pretty cool looking place too, i really enjoyed the sights. didn't make it to russia as a rush on the visa was going to be a whole lotta money, but i plan to go back so st. petersburg is still in my sights.

after helsinki i went to london and played 2 rather successful shows, got offered another ep so i guess i have to make some new tracks (after the ep i'm trying to finish is done). stayed with a friend from vancouver is his nice flat so it was fun to talk about home and do vancouvery things (like brunch). went to a video game exhibition at the science museum, i like that place. and saw an exhibit by my fav artist at a tube station, way way rad.

then i flew to stockholm (not the most logical route but it had to be that way cause of shows). i spent a week there, met crabster for some coffee and we walked and talked in the hip hood for awhile, that was cool. he is nice and funny. i mostly wandered, took pics and bought a coat cause it got cold while i was there. on the sat night i went to a microdisko and met some friends from another site i hang out on. they were all really nice and i saw some most excellent 8 bit music. i had a lot of fun that night.

then i took a train to copenhagen and hung out with a friend of a friend. saw the sights, ate lots of good food, bitched about the giant stage that was built in the main square for the mtv music awards, saw some nice danish design in a museum, and then froze my ass off on the last day i was there when it was -10 with blowing snow. brrrrrrrr..... still, i liked it there a lot.

then i flew to amsterdam for a week and hung out on my birthday with the most awesome raaphorst. that was great to meet him, we've been talking for years and i finally made good on my threats to come visit. and we had good coffee, i like that. he had to run, so then i decided to do an uplifting thing on my birthday and went to the anne frank house. it was good, not as depressing as i thought. i'd never been alone on my birthday before but i kind of didn't mind, made a good dinner and worked on my set. because on the 4th i went to hengelo to play a show with mu-ziq. except he cancelled at the last minute. BURN!!!!! i had changed my flight and paid for an extra week of accoms just to play with him. but he had a good reason to cancel, and i saw copenhagen (which wouldn't have happened had a left the week before) so it's ok i guess. the show itself went well, lots of people came (expcting to see mu-ziq) and saw me instead. but they cheered and danced. so that was good. met more people from micromusic and they were all super super rad, plus i met lots of other dutch musicians and had a really good time. i breakcore. stayed over in eschende for the night and hung out the next day, traded insults and jokes with my new friends. i hope they come to visit me. then i took a train back to amsterdam, and the next (my last) day i made it down to rotterdam to visit cbit. yes, i saw the overlord in his true form. the lovely esme cooked up some deliclous food and we hung out in his new flat and drank wine and ate chocolate and talked and it was rad. i hope to visit again when their life is not total chaos.

then i flew home. ate sushi for dinner, which is exactly whay what i wanted. so far i am not jetlagged, we shall see......
