So maybe some of you know that jdg is currently undergoing chemotherapy to treat testicular cancer.
If this is news to you, it's because John is being a MANLY MAN, and you know how manly men can be, they don't like to complain. Unless its after a few beers and people start showing off scars (oh God no!)
Sadly his employer (and wife) does not offer health insurance, so they are having a fundraiser-- you can buy delicious pies from their West Seattle bakery
DONATE TO JDG'S CANCER TREATMENT FUND
and the proceeds will go toward buying the drugs jdg needs to kill this cancer.
For those of us who cannot pick up pies from West Seattle, there is an option to just donate to this good cause... and I for one think lotsa people from here SHOULD DO SO. Even if he hasn't mastered your album, fotoshopped your face or posted a link to some dubious imagery that you found funny, his liberal dispensation of information on using EQ, compression, computers and KYMA alone are worth cash money.

john - when you are ready to really celebrate - i mean when you are through with your treatment and you feel confident and your energy levels are back
lets have a celebration mixit with all 111 + people and host the results on a page with a donate button > which we can collect money for a cancer charity or something..... i'll leave it to the folks here to come up with a name for the compilation.... but yes we should hook up with all the big gonad charities across the world and get them talking about our music compilation.... i just shaved my face for the first time in over 3mo!
