Is it me, or does it seem like an unprecedented number of em411 members are achieving musical "success"?
*A number of people have released music videos lately.
*STFU has occured a number of times with plans for more in the future.
*We have a mastering engineer among us.
*Umami, Mormo, Liger, Ochre, Room, Autistici, Ignatius, jdg, Implex Grace, hecanjog, n9, and a whole bunch more I'm forgetting have released serious albums with varying (high) levels of success.
*We've been featured on compilations (Autistici, hecanjog, Implex Grace... and many many many I've forgotten)
*A number of us have created successful software and hardware tools.
*Some of us have started labels... (Room, hecanjog)
*...and netlabels (Hippocamp...)
*Many of our websites are hosted and/or designed by em411 members
...lots of stuff!
Despite the sentiment that em411 aint what it used to be (something I believe to a degree...) I'm thoroughly impressed, and after writing this out, honored, humbled, and proud.

yes. teh em411 is full of talent and love. it's really the first time i ever took the idea of "an online community" seriously. the idm list was one thing (and actually where i found out about em411) but this place has always been special and unique.
i love to hear about people releasing music and playing live and it's been fun to watch/listen to the progress/growth of everyone here.

I wish someone would release my record. It's been turned down a million times now. It did get downloaded 1700 times, though, which just blows my mind.
I did get to meet a lot of people here. implex, jdg, others. And I got to have beers with Ulrich Schnaus! That's pretty cool.
seriously, though.... someone should release my record. Or make Darla or Kranky see the light. Tell me where to sacrifice the goat and I'll do it...
But seriously this place got me really thinking. cbit, you put us on that comp and gave tons of support, and you, too implex and jdg and a million other people. The 'not coming together' part is all me and the 'success' part is all you guys.

aye, it was a gay club (complete with strippers pole!) for a bit a few years back but before and after that it was / is one of scotland oldest techno clubs. i love the place, very chuffed to be playing there. i've had many, many great nights out there in the past

the best part is how humble those who are blowing up are...it doesn't feel like a race here. It's like friends who do what you do...and help out when you have a problem. nothing but love.
