--> just thought i'd post a link to a new video i've been working on.

link

not quite done with it, but i have other stuff i've got to do for the next few months, so i figured i'd put it up in it's simpler state. when i get back to it i'm gonna add some layers of simple illustrations and animation to it.

hope you enjoy it. thanks for watching/listening.

Great work."

ha. gotcha. it is pretty convincing. i love that old film look, especially super 8 home movies. if you've ever seen the movie paris, texas, some of the best scenes in that are of the home movie footage. super 8 just has a special power to it. i still use old still cameras. old polaroids and stuff. i would like to use real film for a motion project sometime, but it's kind of convenient when i've got access to all this video equipment at work, to just use that.

it'd just be like 1-2 leaves or branches per shot, line drawing style, not the whole screen filled. just enough to give a hint of motion. leaves falling off, a bird flying by, a branch moving back and forth. just subtle stuff really.

thanks for asking. nah, hadn't put one up yet. the mov i have is approx. 110 mb. i don't have too much hosting space so i can't put that up. the flv is about 10 mb, that's where the flash player stuff comes in handy (plus i just wanted to demonstrate i could design and build one for portfolio purposes). i'll work more on compression when i get the final version done and then put a direct link up to a better compressed mov file.
