--> I highly suggest that everybody see Children of Men.
It's one of the most emotionally potent movies I've ever seen and certainly the best depiction of guerrilla violence I've ever seen dramatized.
Absolutely brilliant.

ok who FRIGGIN CRIED at the part at the end where they're walking out of the building. i sure did.

Yeah, this was one of the few movies I've cried during (but only really at the end).
Another one was A.I. *ducks*.

i usually tear up at the end of movies (mostly because of the music), but i had two actual human tears on my face.

lol ai. i was crying at that because stanley kubrick didn't do it.

here here steven spielberg should've kept it to himself.

yeah and chris cunningham should have done stayed on the effects, and aphex the beats.

lolol i would like to see this film too.

looks great.
though i can't see why the first clip should be one of the best steady cam scene ever shot?

for example russian ark is a 96 minute long movie without any cut (and it's not a stageplay)

that first clip is nicely done, but not the ultimate scene know to man.

though i'd really like to see it
i liked this talkie as well... it was barely cheesy at all! I was sick and desperate to get out of the pad, so I went to seee this, and i thought it was really good. And this is coming from a guy who hates everything.

It had a 'real' quality to it that was nice. Huge things would happen suddenly, without notice the way- they would in real life.

ha haa ha i almost forgot it had APHEX BEEEEAAATTZZ!@!

aphex beatz --- mockingly recognized as "zen music"

if only the author knew how true that is for some of us.

yghartsyrt - that scene continues for another 10 minutes or so, as clive owen moves through the building while it gets smashed to pieces by tanks - it's an incredible bit of the movie and the violence is done in such a 'matter-of-fact' way that makes it more powerful.

superb movie. i loved how down to earth the film felt, given the nutty storyline, and the way it sidestepped clichés. most original and refreshing movie of the year for me. also looked fantastic. let down slightly for me by the pregnant girl's acting though...

bsr- exactly.. the 'matter-of-fact' is what makes the movie IMO.

i wanted to watch this in the cinema.
i never got round to going though.
Michael Caine cracks me up.

i will make the effort to watch this soon.

ah. i see bsr. so if it is that long. it must be a great scene.

need to waqtch it
