--> Setting up an environment conducive to making music has been a long process for me, but I think I'm finally there. I recently got a new computer that is going to be totally devoted to music and video, no internet, no games, no anything else. I have acquired instruments that suit me after a long searching process. I doubt g.a.s. is cured in me, but I have a setup now where most everything I need is at my fingertips, but there is not so much as to be overwhelming.

I have never really been too active at em411, but this site really is pretty great, and I look forward to posting some releases in the near future.

That's a very nice looking setup. I've tried to go without Internet on my music machines, and it's never lasted more than a couple months. I find the internet to be an integral part of my studio. I'm jealous of your keyboards.

songs or stfu

j/k... j/k...

Real nice. Beats the corner of my room. Heavy on the keyboard lust. Dig it.

Haha, I like all the comments about the chair. It's more comfortable than it looks I guess.

Yeah, VC, the monitor placement isn't exactly ideal. I wanted to be able to reach the racks, and there's just not a lot of space closeby on the floor. As far as the stands, skab, they came with the rack, which I got off craigslist a while ago. Their desk-space saving is their most important feature. The room itself has better acoustics than other rooms I've been in, but has some strange angles on the ceiling (you can barely see in one of the pictures) and some other oddities, such as that mysterious pipe. Maybe someday I'll put some fiberglass up.

The best part is that it looks really sweet to hang out in there in the dark by the looks of it.

those angled ceilings may be better for the acoustics than you think... i like the look, though... a good solid room, it seems. like a bunker.

goos stuff. i like the rhodes. i keep seeing them lately the high school i's from had a 88. i have VSt plugins, but love the real things!
just remember it may be the chair if you start getting weird back or wrist problems.

oh yeah and christmas lights. i need some badly

Yeah, the rs09 is sweet. $25 bucks at a used music store here in Portland, 2 broken keys and all sorts of rust, but sounds great...good for the talkbox.

mine played funny melodies when you took its audio output to its input.
