mmm, I just had a sandwich that consisted of antipasto, sundried tomatoes, capsicum, swiss cheese, eggplant and mushrooms on rye. it was amazing. the best sandwich I've ever had.

another secret one:

raisin bagel, melted provolone, turkey, mayo, salt.

my friend has a band called sandwitches...thought this blog was about them for a moment.
ariel had a problem the other day. she was at the store and decided to eat a little orange pepper. you guessed it. habanero. lucky it was a store so she ran over and started drinking some dairy product. between screams, apparently. i wasn't with her for this.
yo get some sliced fried mushrooms on some white bread english mustard one side, basil pesto the other, some super thin sliced chorizo, some vintage cheddar, sun dried tomatoes, maybe a diced birds eye chilli and some chicken if theres a leftover bit in the fridge, then thow that badman in big george for 5 mins. eat with a banana yazoo in front of neighbours. i perfected that over 3 months on the dole last year
yeah, it was plain capsicum, not the oily marinated kind. I love plain capsicum. hey, I only just discovered you can get orange ones now. red, green, yellow, now orange. it was green this time btw.
I can't help thinking that some dijon would have wiped it outta site though

how about people who actually call them sammiches, like not evn joking. In australia sometimes they are called sangas, especially if they have sausage or vegemite in.
as in "bloody oath i'd go a snag sanga, strewth!"
My god! I'm a big fan of the sandwich!
Not my favorite, but I've been digging the Chia Bagel at a place called Bagel Rising. It sounds nasty but is quite awesome and consists of: sprouts, lettuce, tofu spread, swiss, avocado, with a touch of honey mustard on an everything bagel.

Or you can't go wrong with the classic bagel, lox, capers, onion, cream cheese combo.
There's a chain called Grand Central over here that does a sandwich called the Jawbreaker that is so damn good. Really good salami, with basically a dressed salad (oil and vinegar) on a crusty baguette.

Also, I really really love bahn mi (vietnamese sandwiches). Lots of veggies with spicy peppers and meat...so good.

The bread has to be really good or the sandwich is just meh.
sandwich is the perfect food... i mean that seriously.


we have a chain up here called "Great Harvest Bread Co." i think it could be similar to Grand Central...
i hate chains.. but Great Harvest does have some dope sammiches (and i seriously call them sammiches)

I'm actually starting to be a big fan of the stuffed flatbread (cousin to the sandwich). Not a hot pocket.

The other day I made Onion Kulcha, which is like Naan except stuffed with onions. Yum.
