--> I'd like to hear from anyone thats been conducting random activities. . I know mux has attended a party on a monorail, and dach has a sound-system shopping trolley...

What're some other funny random activities you guys get up to?

I'm really interested in this kind of pointless activity type thing, as well as a bit of good old testing of my right to freely express myself, because I feel this freedom is almost under threat these days!

. . but noone I know is keen to join me on anything in my area..

Maybe hearing some more stories will give me hope to keep searching for anyone around my area who's interested in similar things - Last week I nearly sold all my gear in a fit of 'its not worth it'

lol

my friend, who is a genius in other ways, too, built a robot suit to walk around olympia in. it came complete with a live pitch shifting/delay apparatus (just some boss pedals and a battery powered amp+ mike) with which he howled at people. awesome.

When I was a wise ass teen and just got my drivers license, me and my friends would go do "drive by hornings"... which consisted of blowing a thrift store cornet as loud as possible at people in Long Island mini-mall parking lots while driving by.

It seriously scared the shit out of people (which I feel bad for), but I still find it beyond hilarious today... kids are pretty dumb in states of clinical boredom.

when I was 21-22 and smoking maaaad herbals, My friend Max and I would break into warehouses and record ourselves with a stereo mic and a VF-08 as we threw shit at walls and broke whatever wood was laying around into pieces. We would (with a running start) chuck ladders at tables and we would record the activities from adjoining rooms or from a distance or right up close to see how it would differ, once we plugged into an outlet in fron of K-mart and recorded 30 minutes of ambience, another time we went to a park and plugged in near an industrial AC unit, we recorded it from a bizillion angles and distances, people thought we were nuts. Was fun though.

lol

electrodan will vouch for me on this one. once we went out, found some people walking along the side of the road, and did drivebys where i blasted "we built this city" on the tenor sax.

lol astroid you cornball

The first time frnortnr and I met, we went to a party on the Circle Line

party hard zanf

i'm trying to beat ninja gaiden 2 without dying once.

CRAZY!
I catch Ibis and them throw them at sunbathers in the park

i'm going camping tomorrow, in snowdonia, in january.

I sometimes call 7-11 convenience stores pretending that I also work at at 7-11...and using my three way calling I get yet another 7-11 on the line in the hopes of timing the perfect klusterfuck of "7-11!" greetings. When the confusion disapates simply put your friend on the line and have him interject yet one more "7-11!" to get things going again! Yeah!

a couple of years back, on tour, had a night off in west palm beach, florida. we wished we had a gig. so we drove down to clematis st. (the strip there) in the minivan that we rented for the tour (which had rca inputs to the stereo system). parked on the street, and unplugged one of the palm trees that was lined with festive lights. quickly plugged a power strip in and re-lit the tree. then we set up our laptops on the sidewalk, plugged into the van stereo system, opened 'er all up and made a racket for an hour or so. I'm just glad that none of the drunk passers by stepped on the computers. fun!

yeah, street lives are the best. we've done a couple in tokyo, in shibuya, which gets very busy at last train time. small folding table, generator and speakers. and some laptops.

our last event was here on dec 30th, freezing cold, right out in tokyo bay. sunrise was amazing tho

astroid, when i was a kid, we did drive by "vote labour" missions where one of use would pretend to be the labour candidate for east dorset (there never was one - far to many farmers and bloodsports enthusiasts in my home town). we'd accost random people from the comfort of my friend's morris minor and try to persuade them to become socialists on the spot. "we built this city" or horning sounds more fun.

i made pizza last week, does that count?

are you fuckin mad bsr!?? sounds great really...just my bag!

um, i photographed myself on the toilet, with a clown mask on, the other night...as a self portrait for a promo book we are doing for my company. the fact that i am doing that to promote my company might suggest that i can be a bit bonkers sometimes...all too often involving me with my pants down...in a nice way - ahahahah
