--> I know we have been bantering alot about em411 this and that and ontopic discussions versus offtopic ones.

I would personally like to mention how significant I believe this community is.

I have never met a more colorful group of individuals and have never felt like I have found real friends on the internet alone. Until I found EM411. Between the raw humor and the very honest critiques that I run into, I feel that as an artist, this place is a thriving flexable environment where I know I can be expected to present and temper my own vision as an artist. This is the first time a group of producers and artists spread across the US and abroad has responded to any of my work and have made me feel to some extent that I am among peers who will apreciate as quickly as they will sit down and be honest about what is missing.

I do not think that I am a virtuosic person, but I know that I have a vision for my music that may or may not see the light of day, but here at em411, I will always have ears to listen and THAT is absolutly important to me.

And I can come home from work and hear new music that people I know are writing. If I was just "stuck in florida" with no way to breathe in new art from a thriving base of engaged and focused musicians, I think I would suffocate here. So. For Better or worse. Its em411 and we are all learning from it I hope.

agreed. this site is a hella place of cool people, ones who often speak and ones who dont, like the real world, sometimes meet people i know well, sometimes have two words with people i dont. i never get into big conversations with people really, but thats just me... i am too busy out here in the real world (only joking).lol. i dont use many internet 'in' expressions but i know a lot of you do... any way whatever. this is gay.

i don't think, that the ratio between noise and signal is fine and balanced.
it's definitively more noise and the noise is really annoying sometimes.

thing is, that the humor on this site always was lots of in-jokes.
sometimes on the rude side - but this was always ok, as it were jokes between friends whos connection grew over the years.

as new breed came, they saw these jokes and thought, that this was the normal tongue to speak in on this site.
the noise began to get a little more offensive.

but whatever.

some really great things wouldn't have happened without the em411 - like the stfus.
but as sad as it is, i can't imagine that something similar to this would arise out of the momentary state

it used to be soooooo much better, in my opinion. so much warmer and filled with interesting characters. that was back when we had avitars and a certain secret bogdan made his presence known regularly with virgoesque organizational changes. why do I get the strange feeling that 50% of the users of the new em411 are actually all the same troll? that aspect of the new em411 is certainly a major bummer.
