heyhey i have decided to write an e.p in less than a week. i have been procrastinating recently because i've gone through a whole load of crap with women. so to kickstart my music making again i have decided to force myself to write. admittedly some of the songs i have started on are basic/crap but i hope to have at least 6 full tracks and some little songs to intersperse between them.
at points i will be using little loops i have made previously and never finished, but the vast body of work will be done between yesterday and friday. when its done ill stick it up for download if anyone is interested. yesterday i spent 8 hours working on stuff and going through old stuff to see what i could cherry pick, which felt really good.
anyway, wish me luck

hmm well im on track. i have three songs already (well....pretty much ;) ) so still got wed thur fri to knock up three more. i am starting to doubt the quality of this e.p though. expect no mixing mastering or prettyness. it will be naked as the day it was born.

i did a similar project 4 years ago.
i wanted to make one track each day in 2 weeks.
after 11 days i absolutely lost it. i felt SO exhausted.
but these 11 tracks aren't that bad. for a little while i was really proud of myself...

when i was in college, my friend eric got a four track with a thirty day money back guarantee. we took it as a challenge to annihilate it through constant rigorous music making. we failed to destroy it (i think he's still using the same one) but we got an album out of it.
