ok, it may seem a bit silly, but the descriptions and sound samples are fairly amusing. especially the minimalist techno one.

the guide is good fun but his website give me the fear.
the forums are a dark place.

funny and mostly true

Rave captions are the illest: link

I actually, this time, found the guide to be very helpful. I've been getting into techno/trance lately, which unlike the music I usually listen to (IDM offshoots) is actually broken up into genres/labels/scenes. I wasn't around for any of those scenes, so it's nice to have an idea of what key-words to look for when I'm discovering 90's electronic dance music.

christ i thought i was grumpy but that geezer doesnt actually like anything seems to waste its time on non genres (what the fuck is neourofunk?) ignoring grime and dubstep and seems to blame trance on the british. he then has a load of dutch tracks illustrating this, trance died on its arse here a long time ago, its the midwest stadium tiesto fans keepin it alive at the mo

that is the ugliest sight ive seen in a long time, what an absolute turd, hes well into psy trance. he knows are fair bit about music but absolutely fuck all about taste

ugly and stupid.

really really really really really really really really really really ugly.
and crap.
but mainly
ugly

i concur man.. it was vaguely amusing to start, but the guy actually takes himself pretty seriously. seems too shortsighted to appreciate any niche electronic.

oh and it's hideous
