Coco and I are starting up a monthly electronic music show at Apotheke called "Aleatoric" here in Portland, and I'm looking for artist interested in playing. It'll be the 3rd Friday of every month, starting March 16th (which we're presently booked). The shows will be streamed live thanks to Portland Radio Authority, and probably podcasted as well.
We're looking for electronic musicians that aren't in the standard house, techno, Drum N Bass genres ... more IDM, ambient, experimental, and downtempo (Kruder & Dorfmeister kind, not mushroom jazz downtempo).
Although we're hoping for more live PA artists, one DJ a night wouldn't hurt. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

I'm an electronic music producer living in Portland, OR. I run Optic Echo Records, which started after the demise of Dick and Jane Records. I love field recordings, and live instruments interwoven in my music. I'm also the programming director of Portland Radio Authority, and my sets can be streamed live on the website (www.praradio.com) on Mondays, 6-8 PST. dj suppoz and i curated a monthly there for about a year (Achromatic), that was heavily focused on ambient and exp. stuff.. we stopped because neither of us had the time or energy to invest in promoting it more, and the turnout wasn't so hot. it was, however, exceedingly fun.. apotheke is such a perfect venue for this vein of music, in many respects it was designed for it. (caleb is a great dj!) it's great to see someone else thinking along the same lines. you won't run short of great musicians/sound artists/dj's/whatever.. will definately come support, cheers. this sounds like fun.
Well Cloudburst! I will be focusing on promoting while Mike organizes the musicans. I hope to create a following and keep the dream alive for Portland's first Electronic music festival!!!
But in the mean time I would be more than honored to have Dj Suppoz and yourself join us for a night. Just let us know when a good time for you would be, I know Mike and myself would love to have you two. Oh and a dream of mine would be to get Strategy and Ethan Rose there! Think it could happen?
