So my girlfriend, Raisa, is pretty softspoken when I'm working on music. But a couple of nights ago she busted out a flute, she's more than proficient (and I bought some pennywhistles in seatle and she wails on 'em)...then she tells me she can play piano!!
I've known her for six months and I knew she played in high school (she has those "one time at band camp stories"), but I didn't know she kept up with it. I'm used to my girlfiends not being into the time I spend recording...so this is new to me. Hell, last night we were talking about compression and saturation!!! (disclaimer:I'm not some pig who thinks women don't know this stuff. I've just personally never been with anyone who cares. until now em411 was the only place I could talk about the technical side of things)
I'm excited I get to record real instruments besides guitar!!! I'll upload this weekends recordings...tape saturated yazz flute smapples.
I know audio or STFU...sorry, but you can't kill my mood. It's friday. And we're commited to recording, photography, and video games. I don't gloat much...but come on a musical, video game loving, aspiring model...give me this one. | |

Lol, thanks all. I was worried how this one sounded...I'm strange about talking about my personal life. If it wasn't for the seatlle trip and meeting a few really excellent people from here...you guys are friends and friends share stuff.
@ astroid: no she hasn't seen this. her job now keeps her away from the computer during the day...but I'll show her. also lol wilson phillips (If I remember correctly).
@ mechp:  I broke my bass...so frustrating.
