When it gets late at night, sometimes I get this weird phenomenon that occurs... in my brain, I guess.
Essentially, words that I encounter get picked up and repeated as triplets by an uncontrollable voice in my head. It's like feeding two syllable words through a 100% wet delay with fairly high feedback, or like an endless mirror.
But it's a little more complex too. There, sometimes, are two (or more) sets of triplets. In on set, the two syllabel words are repeated very fast, in triplets, and in the second set, the syllabels are stretched out somehow... It's hard to figure out exactly what's going on, because it's not tangible and the pattern is rather complex.
It's odd that they occur to me as triplets, because there's no beat to identify them as such.
Does anybody else experience anything akin to this? | |

I do get similar stuff when I'm either very very (>36 h awake) or smoked lots of weed, but it's more visual, like every movement gets repeated 10 times as if you were looping a small part of a video. Definitely not something I enjoy :}

I think it is an obvious sign of your incredible genius, nagrom.
actually, I do believe this is an extension of the creative imagination. Without this I don't think you could write music or be creative at all. I also believe that everybody has such subconscious activity, but most do not pay attention to it.
If you can keep yourself floating around in that activity I believe you will develop a very healthy life for yourself. Unless, of course, you do so when driving or slicing tomatoes or something where you need your concentration to avoid dangerous acidents. Such mental activity is best left for naps, candle-dipping, macrame, incubus hunting and of course love-making.

i get what colin gets....kinda.
its not all the time....but it does happen quite often
a word or phrase repeating over ond over in my head. sometimes it sounds like screaming ..... but at the same time a whisper. like someone whispering a scream.
and there is no stopping it.
once a few years ago, i had the phrase 'i could hear her laughing' repeating over for days!!! that got quite annoying.
the other day it was 'methamphetamine' over and over again for some reason!!! once every couple of seconds.
ive been noticing this since i was a kid.

someone told me once that deja-vu happens because of the accidental double firing of certain synaptic connections... it can happen in 3's also.

my brain will randomly fuck with me sometimes as well - it's like my inner monologue is replaced with a third party narrator. it's a really strange feeling, hard to explain without revealing how crazy i am. ;-)
you know schizophrenia most commonly manifests in your mid 20s. maybe we're going insane - enjoy the last few years of reason. ;-)
