Less than a week after finishing my full course of antibiotics for strep throat I seem to have come down with another strain of this nasty disease.

I didn't even drink anything while on my meds, even though demon doctor minisystem tried to make me. I still have a fridge full of beer sitting there, mocking me. And when I open up the pantry, there are all these lovely gifts I got when I turned 40, like scotches and a big bottle of vodka, that I'll have to leave unopened for yet another 10 days.

This sucks shit.

Upside: it doesn't hurt as bad as last time, but strep can seriously mess you up if left untreated, so it looks like more pill-poppin' for me.

So here's the deal. I got my 1st round of antibiotics from a pediatrician I took my son too when his strep throat developed into scarlet fever. He wrote me a scrip for my throat as well, but it turns out he gave me the antibiotic they only prescribe to kids because it isn't strong enough for adults (according to the doc I saw yesterday). So, what I really have is the same strep bug as before, but now it's resistent to meds. Lucky me.
