--> We closed on a house last week (finally!).

It's currently uninhabitable, but it's a nice old house on 7 acres in rural Virginia. The lease on our rental expires in 6 weeks. It's a race against time as an electronic musician and a poet attempt to renovate their first home!

Wow, great job!

Looks nice!

i just checked in on this.

the house looks amazing! inspiring stuff. the garden too

whoa! just caught from where i left off months ago. looks great! the 'artifacts' post is great. so funny you found some am-pron and weird too huh? i found some pencil drawings of nude women when i moved into my house. and a giant steel rod w/a thick loop attached to it buried in the yard which could have been some kind of thing you park your horse to? it's a foot long and 2 inches around.

yay!

thanks a lot guys

we've slowed down the blogging a lot. there's still a decent amount of finish work that needs to happen inside though. we'll probably get going on that this week or next. we're starting to feel the urge again. it's just so nice to *not* be inside/under the house this spring/summer.

and (as you've heard evidence of), I've finally been finding some music time and have moved from the occasional couch & headphone session to setting up some stuff in a corner of what will be the shared studio space. ideally I'd like to build a custom desk/shelf system to fit around my comfy reclining theatre chair (pictured) and finally have a low-profile, ergonomic studio - I want it to be as compact as possible (and monitors, for once). here's a shot of my current work space:

and yeah, the polaroids are classic! certainly the wildest artifact that we've found.

thanks for checking in on this

I'm just going to go ahead and mention that we're blogging about the herd of goats in our backyard now:
