--> Edit: it's on zanf's server at the moment: link

Updated script: Blacklist user now hides _any_ post containing names of blacklisted users.

Also: The default blacklist is now populated with sensible default values.

Bugs? let me know.

Edit: Updated so that 'latest posts' lines aren't hidden if a blacklisted user is the last to post in the blog (same link, delete the old script and re-add it).

then don't install it, crabster. Its purely by choice.

I wonder what would happen if you added your own name to the list?

mlbot: Of course.

freedom of speech does not garuntee anyone an audience

if we had an admin or moderator it wouldn't have come to this and he would have been banned long ago. so i'm down w/greasemonkey.

lets make another blog about it!

lol

now we can be totally open-minded and tolerant and stuff without having to deal with dissenting opinions!

all kidding aside, P-L does go way, way overboard. But, the spirit of the blockout thing just seems wrong.

Wow, didn't think blacklist could be even more hardcore than it used to be.

But that's how you take back the internets.
HAHAHA. If you change the list to include your own name, you can still see your own emid page and releases
and you can still preview your own posts
but then they disappear into the ether.

ps, there's a big difference between dissenting opinions and diarrhea of the keyboard.

how do i add other names?

Updated the script so that 'latest posts' lines aren't hidden if a blacklisted user is the last to post in the blog (get the script at the same url.. delete your installed script and re-add it to get the latest version).

wrong? as in the opposite of link ???

i'm with you though, lets take a stand and not use it!

frn: right click the greasemonkey head in the bottom of yr browser, 'manage user scripts' then select the black list script n the left panel and click the 'edit' to open the blacklist script in a text editor. Close to the top you see a comma separated list of names, add/remove any names you like/dislike. Re-save the script, refresh yr browser.

lol

this is great cbit

frn: save the file onto your hard drive and open it with a text editor. You want to change this line:

var blackList=new Array('poohead','aggrouser','otheruser');

Just change one of the names in quotes to the user's name in question. More users can be added by adding a comma and the user's name in quotes.

Then you can install it in firefox.
