--> so, i like these Artic Monkeys quite a lot, as it happened for the Hives, Strokes, yeah yeah yes, etc. I mean, i like just a few of these rock (indie? ) bands but i really love that stuff when i happen to like it (does this expression makes any sense?).

What about you? I'm lately listening more to that than to EM. And i'm surprised by that.

Exodus - "Toxic Waltz" still tickles my funny bone. I remember ruff-housing to that when I was 7. Didn't get that giddy feeling again until I heard loud blaring techno. What happened to "energy music" ??

THE THINGS (dun dun) YOU SAY (dun dun) YOUR PURPLE THROAT JUST GIVES YOU AWAY!
THE THINGS (dun dun) YOU SAY (duun dun dun.......) YOU'RE UNBELIEVABLE!
I used to spazz out like a maniac to that when I was a kid.

I really dig good news for people who like bad news.(modest mouse) killer, killer album. reminds me how electronic music is a joke.

Hearing Jeff Mills "The Other Day" blasting reminds me that all jazz, world music and anything that goes verse, chorus is a joke. Classical is no joke. It's safe.

Ever since that one guy who made IDM started playing a Bass everyone started to follow.

cheers pals for reminding me of june of 44. got me to head right for the record shelf. omg. these were great as are unwound. still listen to the first 3 records every months same goes for old joan of arc stuff.

i always listen to some rockish music, but normally it's not the hyped "the" bands and the other hip indioe slackers. maybe i just can't stand their faces and attitude.
i for an example die for honeywell or codeine or slint
or
les savy fav if i want it a little more dancy

but for pop-music. everytime i listen to the last black eyed peas. i'm totally amazed by it's production. i mean, the music is giving me nothing, but the way it sounds good, whatever speaker you listen to it and the way how it sounds good. it'S friggin awesome. nevertheless shite music

i have a hard time keeping up with newer bands (i'm old right?) but still listen to everything. i'm hopeful for another fugazi record someday and still have a hard time not listening to the entire LP of 'deloused in the comatorium' whenever i put it on. some friends have given me some stuff.. newer bands.. i don't know who they are but i like it. my brother gave me the "heartless bastards" and i dig a lot of their stuff. there's tons of stoner rock out there.. but no lyrics.. just riffs.. sort of like math rock but they're too lazy to get into the math part.

sometimes i do listen to the radio and catch a cool song here and there but i have no idea who they are. one day i'll have to confront some hipster for a day if 'indy rock' education so i can get the low down on what's hawt (or worthwhile). i still have some things in my own record collection to 'discover'.

local band Doctor Moss is fucking sick sick sick. fugazi meets metallica meets mars volta.. insanely good. tons of weird changes and chunky riffs. no singer

crappy live video but you get the idea.

"You must exercise as to brutalize with us - Exodus!" Man, I was wearing that t-shirt in my 9th grade yearbook.

who ive listened to in the last 2 hours:
dntel
lcd soundsystem
sufjan stevens
mogwai
pele
sigur ros
rilo kiley

: )
LOL @ sweettrip. astro physi.. if it wasn't for steve harris i'd be able to spell astro-phyics by now.

you guys are funny. iron maiden. all of my tshirts used to be iron maiden t shirts. merch baby! that's where the real $$ is! love the maiden. was a total metal head in my youth. sabbath? slayer anyone? judas priest? DIO was fun.

metallica died when cliff burton died. though rick rubin is producing them now.. FUCK bob rock. wanker. i refuse to get my hopes up though.. especially after that movie. i read that metallica did a short tour, in south america i think, and they played the 'master of puppets' album in full from start to finish for the entire tour. so maybe they are reconnecting w/their non-suck status.

i still chase chunky riffs.. you hear the melvins/lustmord collaboration???? amazingly awesome in everyway.

cheers ignatius. docotr moss is really awesome. quiet early-unwound like.

Death Cab I like (as well as Postal Service), some Arcade Fire, I liked the Strokes back then, Bloc Party's first album is superb, some really old Modest Mouse is great (Sad Sappy Sucker)

weird nobody mentioned broken social scene yet
