--> so, i like these Artic Monkeys quite a lot, as it happened for the Hives, Strokes, yeah yeah yes, etc. I mean, i like just a few of these rock (indie? ) bands but i really love that stuff when i happen to like it (does this expression makes any sense?).

What about you? I'm lately listening more to that than to EM. And i'm surprised by that.

I love how everyone's definition of hipsters it completely different. I would never think of indie rockers as hipsters.

EM hath no drummer or guitarist.

I think that all the weirdness/badness right now has to do with the other thread on the front page about music dying.

There were these very real poignant cultural forces involved, when what was coming out of the record companies, and what "mattered" in art, were united. That's just not the case now so of course all the haircut hipster-bands are going to seem ungenuine. But, I don't think they realize they don't like music.
