Well, I just got a letter from Bard College that says, "we're pleased to inform you that we've given you a spot on our wait-list!"
With my second-semester performance (notably my inevitable flunking of computer science), that's probably not going to happen.
So, I'll likely be attending Concordia University in Montreal from Computation Arts / Computer Science next year.
Montreal EMers, here I (presumably) come!

Congrats! I'm from Texas, but I went to a university in Canada, that is University of Victoria. The three things that bought me were 1) Good/Cheap pot 2) Environment is pristine and clean 3) The girl to guy ratio is like 3:1.
Enjoy man! I just graduated and trying to figure out what the fuck I wanna do...you better enjoy every last second of it, because shit man...you'll never have this much freedom...evar!
p.s. you can message me if you have any questions about being an American in a Canadian university.

I graduated from Bard College. You could probably slip by with flunking.. they probably wouldn't check your student records again.

seriously. college can be great. have fun but don't fuck off too much. take seriously the stuff you need to and of course get your money's worth. it's not everyday you get to go to school w/french speaking ladies and learn about nerdy computer shit to make nerdy music etc etc. or do whatever fun shit you are gonna study in computer science arts.
what's that saying? if i only new then what i know now?

enjoy it. tcb, of course. but enjoy the hell out of it. get involved. meet as many people as you can. don't date the same girl for more than 3 months. don't take semesters off. while you're in college, devote some time to think about what you want to do after college. seen a lot of people graduate and then work in bs retail jobs for 4-5 years. please don't waste your life like that. if you don't want to get a real job or go to grad school right after college i suggest spending a year or two just backpacking around the world. that's what i wish i had done. good luck skippy.

I hope that you get to experience one of the most important and educational portions of the college experience: grinding poverty. You won't understand that until you are through with the grinding poverty part, but trust me, its had a powerful effect on my life. Also, consider the potential debt you may collect at any institution, its not ALWAYS worth it to go to a better school if it means you come out owing $20K more.
