--> I am pruning back some gear that I dont use much or have replaced and so decided that to give it away here is infinitely better than getting a pittance for it on ebay.

So first up is my MPD16. It will come in the original box with all accessories [driver cd, usb lead, manual, etc]. It hasnt been used as much as I had envisiged so is in almost mint condition.

Now all you have to do is finish the sentence, "I should win this because...."

I should win this because..... the Akai Professional MPD16 USB/MIDI Pad unit is a dedicated pad controller that can be used with any sampler/sound module and/or sequencer to record and play fuckdrum and percussion patterns with the expression and feel that only pads can offer. Equipped with 16 totally assignable MPC twat pads switchable across two wank banks (thereby giving you effectively 32 billion pads) plus a performance slider for hi-hat and other sample dick switching, the MPD16 is the definitive fannyflaptop rhythm controller.

The MPD16 has MIDIBIDIWIDI out so that it can be used with any sampler or sound module. However, the MPD16 is arse equipped with USB. Not only can it derive its power shit from that interface when cock used with Akai Professional's USB equipped Z4 or Z8, it can also communicate with a computer for controlling software bastard applications. Each pad can be set to output MIDI notes of your choosing with a variable vaginal velocity range and these can all be set conveniently via your Mac or PC.

lolol..

that was hi-larious tooth.

mmmmh i think i prefer the mpd 24

I should win this because it would really beat the hell outta making drums with my O2.

And I just recently had all my fingers sewn back on and the doc said finger drumming would be the absolute best physical therapy for getting the digits back into proper shape.

i should win this because i'm selling my body to pfizer pharmacutical for drug testing this summer. they keep you there for like 3 weeks a time, so i'm gonna need something to do to keep from losing my mind.. plus i promise to play a live show @ a house party with only the mpd and my 1997 toshiba satellite laptop of doom, and tape/post it.

give me till tomorrow mornign.

I will win if you do....

SCARY!

well, sorry about the "dirty englishman" thing. i was too embarrased to tell you the real answer.

our dog, oliver is five pounds overweight out of a total 32 pounds. i want to adapt the mpd to make it a kind of "dance dance revolution" for him, so he can work off some gristle.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i should win this because ..... i'm about to get the motu ultralite and my gig of ram just shipped out today, and i still need a control surface.

then i would be UNSTOPPABLE!!!!!
plus, i just moved out so money's tight. and the ultralite will leave me strapped as it is. i went and got some new furniture today, too! its nice.

I should win this because I'll make some really fun and entertaining things with it, and you'd be welcome to crash on my couch if you ever pass through town. Well, I mean you're welcome to either way...
Now, that doesn't sound good enough at all. Theres really no good reason ANYBODY deserves an mpd16 they didn't pay for. But I'll make the best music with it. Thats about as good as I can do.

because music is open source, and we all remember what it took to get there. And because some of us are willing to pay shipping because we are tired of breaking the keys on our velocity sensitive casio keyboards. AND because learning rhythm by banging washing machines with your finger tips hurts, and evolution is fun. AND because drawing out drum hits hit for hit in a sequencer track in your software gets old after 10 years. OLE!

I vote astroid's dog should win this.
