... and it's an awesome audio interface.
its got a base with 2 inputs, 2 outputs, pretty nice mic pres, built in talkback mic. the whole machine is big nasty solid metal raaarrrr then it has a little breakout box that you can use if you're playing on the go. everything is completely powered by firewire, which is nice. had problems with resource management at first with the firewire kicking the power off, but i got a dedicated firewire card for it and now it works fantastic.

does it have a dedicated firewire card? i noticed mine had a lot of problems until i gave it its own pci slot to breathe. only noise i get is on startup (which is a very low chargeup noise) "Anything is better than my last card." srsly. i had an audiophile USB before this. while its a nice starter interface, i've grown way out of it. oh, well nevermind.
