--> i got a yamaha qx3 big old school midi sequencer today
its huge
i havent used it yet
im a bit scared
its got a keyboard with some keys for letters but only a to g- what about the rest of the alphabet?
and theres keys with these weird symbols on them that look kind of like golf clubs, some with flags on the handle- ???
and f, ff , fff- how f's do you need?
its all a bit confusing
not like my trusty mmt8- thats all numbers like it should be
good thing= built in disk drive (3.5" too unlike the qx1 that has a 5 1/4" drive- glad i didnt get that)
bad thing= you have to use the disk drive- theres no internal memory

for some reason you have to enter sysex numbers in hex instead of normal numbers like everything else
looks like ill still be using my mmt8 for midi sample dump editing

this thing looks cool. this blog was great.

your my hero in a way,

bla.

ha ha- i thought if i added a picture to this blog itd attract readers
sadly i still havent used my qx3 yet because ive still only been doing live sets and no studio work and i think my mmt8's are better for live but i plan on using my qx3 as my master studio sequencer (when i get my shit together)
