"Holocene is proud to present legendary Warp Records pioneers Plaid. Hailing from the UK, Ed Handley and Andy Turner have been crafting their distinct strain of lush, melodic electronica since the mid-90s, following a string of classic earlier releases as The Black Dog. The two have recently been exploring new audiovisual terrain, releasing a collaborative DVD with Bob Jaroc (who'll be providing visuals tonight) and soundtracking the Japanese anime film Tekkon Kinkreet. A collection of their earlier Black Dog EPs have also recently been released under the name Book of Dogma. They're preceded tonight by local electro star Copy and the symphonic electronica of Rena Jones. This is a very special show for all of us, and we hope to see you all here."

LOL! And if they started by 6PM, then they could STILL do their holocene show, and we'd all be happy!

LOL @ mossy knoll

I'd go to so many more shows if they all started at 6 PM and kept the levels down to conversational volume. And took place at my house. Going out is hard.

But you gotta admit, we like the name Plaid 'cuz it matches the pants we're wearing hiked up to our armpits.

anyone going to Yuri's Night?

plaid was great. i was surprised. lot's of non-plaid like songs. a good mix of what you might expect and some ragers mixed in. great set. nice peeps too. fun show.

Plaid wuz good! I'm glad I rallied to head out. Some serious visuals... But the CNN Iraq War Montage visual would have caused a bad acid trip. I had to leave the room because I was getting angry.. and you wouldn't like it when I'm angry! Nice turnout too! Props to Jellyfish & bubbles for bringing them out! Rena Jone's set was dope as well! Nice Cello, Violin, Ableton action!

Plaid was amazing. Great to see ignatius and SeniorFrio again!

ignatius, your CD is sik. thanks!

I had a great time for that show too. Loved Plaid's video!!
