--> I've pretty much almost totally made up my mind that I may well definitely probably be moving to Berlin very soon. I want to live somewhere with some buzz and a good arts scene and Bath is just too sleepy and conservative. But I need somewhere to live for a bit to get myself set up. Can anyone help? I speak ein bisschen Deutsch aber nur ein bisschen. I'm also quite poor so I need somewhere cheap. Anyone here live/lived in Berlin?

Yo Filarion is you serious? I would definetly want to try things like that out. Wonder if theres work for a graphic designer with out a degree....

martin i'm up for that too.. but not end of this summer. maybe later. it's a great idea though, we really should try to organize something similar seriously.

i have lived in berlin from 1988 to 2002...i had good times there, and bad ones...you take yourself with you, wherever you go.
for a certain period and age it might be ok to spend some time here. at least you will learn not to miss the crowd.
have fun!

i'm pretty serious, i know for a fact i won't spend another winter in the flat I'm in right now and berlin is the logical cheap option even within germany.. i have the advantage of only a two hour drive back to my old hood, so it's not really much of a jump into cold water for me. but yeah, serious. -- don't get your hopes up regarding the graphic design work unless you're keen on doing un- or underpaid internships (that's even if you have a degree).
