Woah, didn't expect that to happen but it seems we have a tentative list of people wanting to move to Berlin.
So far it stands at...

....anyone else?
I'm serious about moving so I'm gonna start researching the property now and see what places cost. Would be good to get all the above in a chat room...I'm going in now.

it's been in the planning stages off and on for a while... a small one in autumn is realistic I reckon. Ironically, the larger the city, the harder it gets to organize a larger event and actually get outside people to show up - especially with electronic music in Berlin.

Mmmmm, could imagine that. On the other hand, stfu Rome was a huge sucess. In that particular case it probably had a lot to do with the venue and the fact that it had a faithful crowd.

palac and myself have been wondering about the whole STFU Berlin issue for a while and since we're both kind of involved with record labels and so on there's an ambition to push a possible STFU Berlin enough to be recognized as one of the go-to events of that weekend... - finding the right venue is harder than you'd think though.
Some of you know Zentrale Randlage, an obvious option to do an STFU, and Palac is organising a record release party for his (net)label Frozen Elephants there in a couple of weeks again, but for a proper STFU it'd be a bit too small and it doesn't lend itself to a mixed experimental/dancey event like STFU.. the large techno venues obviously are too large.. so we're still trying to find the right mix. We should just rent a huge flat and have it take place there

500-600 euros!? Most people i know are paying around that for rent each month!
Is Berlin really that cheap???? I mean its a capital city!
i thought you'd be on more than that Kris, is that post or pre tax?
i just started a £1135 a month job (pre tax) but its a lot less than i should be earning given my qualifications

Berlin as a whole certainly is not that cheap and I'm not saying that you can go out and party every night on that. but you can certainly have a part-time job and get by with living in a shared flat. However, if you're earning 1500 Euros after tax steadily you can live very comfortably in a single household with most amenities you'd want (including car).
