Yo dudes, John and Steph helped me build my new desk over the weekend and it looks fucking amazing. We sanded the hell out of a thick, sturdy door and stained it. J-dawg has the recipe doooown. It was super easy.
Afterwards I spent time doing this cool "decluttered" technique, found here, in which you fasten peg board underneath your desk and tie up your various cables and electronic components.
I'm super, super stoked! Desk is HUGE and a way cooler color than my old one. Plus It's very neat and clean. There are a few cables here and there, it's hard to make every cable disappear, but the great thing is that it's attached with wooden dowels so it's super easy to reorganize if I have a new device or new way of arranging things.

Since there was some wood already available I paid about $60. $30 for pegboard and 4x4 wood (what's a forby four?) and $30 or so for the shackles to attach the pegboard (they are really gate latches or something). | |

gad damn i hated the mightymouse too! mega apple tech fart means that you can only do a right click if you lift your left finger clear of the mouse casing first wtf THATS NOT OK apple! looks nice though.

so far, i hate the mighty mouse's side buttons--they are like instant carpal tunnel. the little ball is dope tho, and i haven't had any problems with left/right/center click.
works well enough for a portable mouse. i'll keep my old msft optical mouse for home use.
major wtf for apple though. they make great computers, and the worst mice on earth. buh? that whole hockey puck mouse embarrassment from the early imac years would be forgivable if they actually improved since then.

oh btw, that drum behind the puters is a Zebu drum my best bud brought back for me from Madagascar. He also gave me those dope japanese dolls. Oh and there is a little voodoo doll jdg gave me. I think he uses it to spy on me while i'm searching pr0ns.
I like that I have room to "decorate". lol.
