--> i always find these post-your-studio pics to be masturbatory, but I am going to join the circle-jerk with gusto and post some pics.

I recently had a basement room all to myself, but a little flooding made that untenable. Luckily, we just remodelled our upstairs (it had been a 70's-wood-panneling/sagging-fiberboard-extravaganza!) and I've moved up!

I had to consolidate my gear, which has actually been nice. I have to share the space with my cat Chester, as you can see. He's sitting atop my mixer, which I covered in 1" of foam to prevent him from muting/soling all the channels on my mixer every time he moves his 18.5 Lbs of cat-bulk. he also plays synth and bites the guitar strings.

Also, moving from a carpeted/cinderblock bunker to an open space with wood flooring has made me need to re-learn what my speakers sound like (BRIGHT). I even just built some of those acoustic panels that bleen/jdg/cbit were ranting about (same color as the wall).

Maybe I need a plant?

Did you know that in China, the movie "Dunston Checks In" is called "My Waiter, the Monkey?"

Sorry, stole that from the Hot Fuzz interview at the onion.

ok, at least show some side mod wheel!

I need to make me some acoustic panels...

oh, and wicked ass studio!
Awesome!!! Love the studio!!!
Love the cat
I wish i had a blackbelt.

you could get a beta fish with a live plant inside, accomplishing plant goals whilst providing delicious fish water for Chester.

That setup looks great man!!! I need a nice chair like that.

you should have found a way to frame your motorcycle out the window in the pic with all the labels. and maybe yr lady's cleavage.

the blue desk is really cute, nice place!

how much do you use the k5000? is it your workhorse or a one-trick pony?

My other bandmate (other band) uses his k5000 to death. As in metal. He gets really distorted guitar sounds out of it, with no added distortion required.

I can't remember whether mlbot uses his all that much, though.
