I think he was busy making music when suddenly the spool shot off his reel to reel sending mono audio tape into the air at great speed. Foolishly, Race panicked, his erratic, oafish movements causing him to become entangled in 6km of shiny brown analogue chains. Knowing that the tape contained the best music ever made, he could not bring himself to damage it in any way so there he lay for a long, lonely 5 days. He survived by eating the spiders that had mistaken him for an enormous juicy bluebottle coccooned in a massive web. Eventually, he managed to persuade one of the spiders to use its dextrous eight legs to untangle the stupid mess of tape in exchange for regular piggy back rides. Once free, Race felt tired but relieved, enriched and inspired by his near death experience but ashamed of his deal with the spider.
