there's cybersex on myspace? damn!

It's basically a more serious version of myspace. to protect user's privacy, profiles are sectored off into 'networks', which arose from the original architecture which centered strictly around colleges. html and media is disallowed, and spam is nonexistent. So it is streamlined, fast, and efficient at finding people, communicating, etc. It does lack the 'character' of myspace imo. I don't think i've ever got in contact with a new person on facebook, i usually just use to to keep in touch with people i already know.

yeah, its just... fun, i guess. the time flies. you hook up with friends you havent seen in a long while, send them a goofy message, get a goofy message back, find another old friend, somebody tags you in a picture, then you realise that you have common friends with people you didnt know...
sounds lame. is fun. hehe.

lol internet

as long as it's pure cyber without pics i certainly could
everyday on facebook is a blast from the past - i got a msg this morn from a girl who used to live next door when i was a kid. i don't think i've seen her since i was a pre-teen (about the time the mastodon's died out)

There must be some academic writing around about the proliferation of social networking on the internet, the compression/revision of time etc etc.
It's interesting, but for some reason very unappealing to me. The lady in my life recently joined facebook, and I browsed with her but found myself feeling irritable. Her co-workers that all sit next to each other keep in touch through facebook. That strikes me as slightly dysfunctional. I's still on the fence due to lack of experience.

i've had a myspace page up for half a year now. it's nice, all customed designed, and i haven't used it once! only two contacts, tom and a good friend who told me his opinion about the layout i created. no music, no comments, no nothing, other than a photoshoped image of myself. i don't mind forums, but i can't stand these social networking sites. i really prefer to meet people in person, at concerts, in cafés, the grocery store, or walking down the street. i guess i'm just old fashioned.

LOL@crabster!!! haha i have a facebook but never use it causing it's kinda boring. it's well designed, but i wanna make big fonts and pictures and break tables and layouts and facebook doesn't allow for that, do it?

link

facebook feels like a hospital to me. myspace is like ghetto apartments in a rich city. fucking christ LOL course, that's my opinion - i could be wrong. WHHAAAATTTTTTT????

anyone on bebo?

go virb

there is no music on facebook! it is so WONDERFULLY quiet. both sonicly and visually
