I'm not sure it's even appropriate to put this here, but lately I've been focusing entirely on (non-electronic) band-style music. Out of this focus has come enough material to make a decent album. My plan is to have a ten-song disc that I'll get packaged and printed and all that good stuff.

But before I go too much further (farther?), I'd like some feedback. I know this is kind of off topic, not being EM and all, but I can stretch and say it was all tracked on my computer, with heavy use of software plugins and software mastering, right?

I know this is probably one of the best community sites for music feedback. I've been slacking big time on EM production lately because most of my time has been spent on this album. But I'm just going to put this out there in case anyone has some free time to listen and critique, comment, etc.

The mp3s aren't necessarily FINAL final, but they're pretty close. They aren't tagged, so I wouldn't keep them. I really appreciate anything you can contribute, and I hope you enjoy it, or at least that it doesn't hurt you.

And I'm thinking after I get this project done I'll be returning to some EM. I've been messing around with gleetchlab lately, and it's a lot of fun.

I'm going to try to actually sell this album, but it's not going to bother me if any of these songs were sampled.
GRIN.

hey man i'm really liking this so far! i'll make sure and listen to more before i make any comments or critiques. but congrats on getting these all together and goin for it!
if you use anything electronic, its discussion here is 100% relavant.

While the majority of em411 seem to be firmly ensconced in either the IDM or the Trance/video game/Gabber crowds, some of us hate all of that crap ;)

so i'll go listen...
So far, I think it sounds really good! Everything is pretty darned clear.

Maybe the snare is a little dull in "Driving IS FUll Time", and the synth solo could be a bit louder (to match the guitar solo in presence) ... but neither of these things are at all necessary, just possible.... listening more....
I too really like this. Great work.

I also agree with mlbot... the snappy snare is a little thin. I'll have to listen to the other songs next week.
Haha. Thanks mlbot.
You guys think it sounds thin?
Interesting. I've always liked the way it sounds.
Thanks for the feedback, though. I really appreciate it.
sounds fine.. it could go eitherway...
there is nothing that stands out as "SHITTY" in there...
so go forth!
they look like big strong hands don't they, sigh.

Good work guys.
