I do it to try and recreate that energy, the energy that feels like the tingle you get when you hear a brilliant song or a song that reminds you of someone or something good.
I dont think I try hard enough to make brilliant songs though. I must try harder

Doesn't everybody here make a living off their music? Is it just me?
(yeah, of course I'm joking)

but srsly tho..
if you want the clear cut boring truth, the reason i will always create music is just that as a younger person, I made enough significant emotional associations with all different types of music that it's like a family member to me now. I'd be about as likely to stop loving my own mother. And yea, like any family member, music can be a bich too.

because i have to. i've stepped over it being a hobby. i need to make music now almost independent of the end result. i have to turn some knobs, make a beat and what not. i don't feel right if i don't

God knows. Don't know what else i'd do. If music wasn't in my life i'd spend large parts of the day staring at a wall, dribbling.

1.beautiful, beautiful, masterbatory, self satisfaction.
2. my hairstylist says he'll keep giving me drugs as long as I keep the tunes a-coming.
3. helps support my enormous ego. (gargantuan)

I dont make music. Not in the sence of "makeing", but rather, I feel as though I am a fasilitator of sorts.
Like there are messages all around us, begging to be heard and attended to.
The sound needs to be heard, I simply bring it forth for ears to hear...
sounds crazy huh?.
Well how bout this...I like making music because creating things is what we were meant to do...

3 reasons: all forms of art have always been for me "playing". its an unbroken thread from childhood. creating music on a computer is the most fun thing i've ever played with--and secondly because it puts me in an altered state of consciousness---better than drugs and a lot cheaper-- third, because you're making a thing of strange beauty which you can keep, listen to and share.

I think it's like a meditation, because it quiets the voice(s) that are in your head. When I'm working on a song I'm not internally verbalizing at all, which is a far cry from the other 99.999999% of my life. I think this is the same thing that people that meditate are shooting for.
