--> Take a look at my new studio! Hahaha...

So yesterday I went to the Brooklyn studio ready to tell the landlord that I would be moving out at the end of June. He was late. As I waited I could hear them drilling stuff into the other side of my wall... you see they are making a restaurant on my floor. I always knew this would happen at some point (the restuarant construction) but the landlord assured me that it would barely be heard, and would easily be shut out of the isolation room.

No way in hell it wouldn't make it in there, if even low speech leaks through. No way in hell I'm able to concentrate with machine noises reverberating all around me, because there is an enormous crack under the door to the studio where I hear the reverberation of said machine noise through the hallway...

Anyway, I have a big recording opportunity right now so had to move some equipment to this place to do recordings. It's stressful though, because it's a real strain on the living environment.

ugh... ugh... UGH!!!!

I guess I just wanted to vent and show this hopefully somewhat amusing photograph of my new studio... quite a chance from Woodstock!

[edit: I have added a picture of myself to indicate how low and oddly constructed the ceiling is here.]

mmmmmm new paltz

ps that pic is hawt

lol
record in the jesus room while you can!

i didn't know you had raffi over at your studio

don't you miss your facial hair, everamzah?

well i miss stroking it (the beard) but walking around town these past days it's been refreshing. except no one wants to sell me beer with my ny license anymore.

yeah, I had a passport with naked face and got through customs very slowly when I came back from Italy.

btw, the wallpaper... it's got gold so I don't think it would scan well. I'll take a bunch of shots at different angles... also there is similar wallpaper on the facing wall, but it's got lighter colors. I'll post the picts and if you want hires drop me an email.

cool! thanks fredo!

you said grounded! thats my word of the week, thief!
sad about the studio, you thought it would be so nic e. i really like your new place, but then again i like odd places.
i was surprised initially when you told me about the studio, i should have warned you, i lived in the loft complex there in mckibben for almost a year, lots of musicians, and i play loud and loose, so it really didnt bother me much most of the time, but there was noise always, and people ware generally too young, i felt old, (just cant party everyday of the week anymore i guess, and was annoyed at some of my aspring neighbours 0 who couldnt play for shit, but had alot of attitude)

Now i live in Willburg, in one of those new buildings (gentrification, yeah fuck it) that pop out here. i love my new place, dead quiet, clean and new, but you have to pay mint for it. still i wouldnt replace it . lived in the country for some years, was great, but was enough. and as far as city life goes, from my own travels in the US, nothing much holds a candle to NYC. so its a give and take game.

That studio is like upset down central. Looks like someone wrapped the walls in Christmas paper and someone got a lil' too eager to open their presents.

The long hair is lookin' good on ya...you look like a enlightened flower child. I just cut mine and I feel a lil' older and sexier...but I'm sure when I get in my thirties it'll be the long hair that makes me feel sexier and younger.

hehe, so true, zfigs, but notice what a low angle shot.... top angle is a little revealing...

if anyone deserves a better place to make music, its you.

how tall are the ceilings? 5feet?

6 feet tall...
I was goign to see a couple places today but I got either a really bad case of food poisoning or the flu so am on me back all day. I have high hopes about the whole new paltz area...

u will win

muchos gracias, senior j.
