--> This year I went to DEMF and handed out a second copy of my zine... the cool part was that people came up to me and remembered me from last year. Remembered the zine, and even had some positive vibes to send my way....

I've never felt almost famous.. it was a new first for me....

... anyone else interested in telling their "almost famous" moment?

a girl DJ once played my record ... at the wrong speed ... just the way I like it.

I once had a girl come up to me at a gig and say, "I really like your music but my friend and I came here to dance so when do you play the dance music?"

I laughed because everyone knows that Germans cant dance.

They were on my case too! They were trying to stop Move D in the middle of his set to try and get Sneakthief to come back on, afterwards they tried to latch onto Michel himself. Once they found out I had something to do with the whole thing, they were alternating between yelling and purring at me to get more dancey music on. ffs, move d is playing jazzy hous live 2 meters next to them and these chicks are complaining, wtf!

man, where the did my Move D record go... fuck..

bla, you reminded me: I was on the news because of the poll tax riots in 89 once but didnt see it. An exGF's dad videoed it though and pulled me aside, having a 'little word in my shell'.

I shat myself when I went into work that to work that monday. Thankfully only one guy saw it and he was a friend so kept it quiet.

we used to take phone meetings with gabor gsupo when he wanted us to be on his record label. Does that count?

I saw a drunken Richard Harris screaming Shakespeare from atop a table at the Portland airport. Does that count?

My brother in law had his picture taken with Everybody Loves Raymond, how about that?

I served kelly clarkson a cup of tea before.
I didn't even know it was her.

There is a bartender chick at the mezzanine that always remembers me from when my band played her club. She hooks it up with the drinks. I feel special. I have yet to tell her the band broke up a long time ago.

I had a weird little dream about the older bartender girl wear I play... weird how certain people slip in .... it was nice.
i was on local television when i was 3 years old because they had a christmas special and my birthday is the 25th of december... so this woman asked me what i wanted for my birthday and i said a machinegun. that haunted my parents for a while.

lol @ fichu

over 5 years ago, I made this really shitty homestarrunner remix and put it on iuma. 3 years later, a family at the japanese restaurant recognised me as
"Jay- chawt" it honestly just creeped me out.

on a seperate ocassion, I did a bunch of songs in high school, really goofy pop songs like one (my most famous one) was an ode to steve buccimi. at "senior picnic day", a bunch of us were just sitting on the bleachers passing around a guitar and taking turns. I get it and I play "steve buccimi". at some point while I'm playing it, I look up and about half the people sitting around me are lipsyncing/singing quietly to themselves.

that reallly creeped me out.

I saw mark levengood drive a car, that made me feel a bit famous.

fichu: So, did you get one?

oerfil: On the way out of a kiosk I almost crashed into Mark Levengood. That made me feel like a jerk.

a nice young gentleman wrote me recently on myspace saying that astroid power-up! made the beatles' "albums sound like a bunch of toilets flushing". lol.

Edit: nearly famous story, edited out due to not being nearly famous enough (sorry)
