--> This year I went to DEMF and handed out a second copy of my zine... the cool part was that people came up to me and remembered me from last year. Remembered the zine, and even had some positive vibes to send my way....

I've never felt almost famous.. it was a new first for me....

... anyone else interested in telling their "almost famous" moment?

Edit: Oh. It worked.

someone once asked me if i was johnny depp

i was at this terribly lame party at cmj in new york once that for one reason or another had no bathroom, so partygoers were being instructed to go across the street to the local starbucks. while awkwardly waiting in line i started talking to the guy in front of me, who asked me what band i was there with, and turns out not only did he actually own our records (absolute shocker), but he was ALSO the guy who i talked to regularly on a website called indietorrents.com. i felt like a total rockstar for about a minute, then it was my turn to go.

this thread makes me happy on so many levels!..... more then a couple of LOLs and awesome moments captured.

WOOT WOOT to being almost famous!

I was in two episodes of a History Channel docudrama.

also...

I helped create a non-profit and made a full-length digital movie which utilized high school students as our film crew while teaching them skills in film making. One of the Sundance panelist judges pocketed it to play at his own festival after his argument for our movie didn't convince the other judges. His festival, which we thought was just some small gesture, turned out to be a pretty big deal with lots and lots of famous dudes, all of which were surprised our movie was playing at this "small" fest and not already picked up.
