1/f is the more listenable than white noise. it feels less intense. and when acted upon by a resonant filter it gets a little more sin wave like (sinusoidal).

I've heard that when used for algorhythmic sequencing (ie mapped across a keyboard range), it sounds the more like music than less self refferential noises.

but re: voss and clarke, I read somewhere someone refuting them saying they tested multiple pieces in the same sample and that much of the data was compromised. I don't know who to believe. still it's interesting to experiment with.
