--> Everyone has their own opinion, but i want to hear those opinions so I can decide for myself what the best software to use for creating em. Currently I use FL Studio and it is quite enjoyable.

yeah this is a rough question... I used to do a lot of my music in FL studio + audiomulch, but then I got sick of FL studio... and never found anything to replace it. SO, I've mostly made music completely in audiomulch for the past year or so, and recently added reaktor to my setup. I'm having a hard time finding a multi-track/sequencing app that I like... I'm not very fond of live, though it gets the job done, and most of the big DAW apps I don't like either. I really love ACID on my PC for multi-track... it has really great, fast audio editing/slicing capability that i've not seen anywhere else, but I can't use it on my mac unless I run it in parallels or boot camp or whatever. So right now, i'm kind of in limbo, trying to find something I really like.. I may settle on live, just because it mostly works... but I wish there wa ssomething else, and I'm not sure what that something else would be.

i use live, which i like more than floops. but i liked floops too. live suits me better because the architecture seems looser. If i work with floops, i feel more contained to the framework of instruments and plugins i'm given. I also like live because it allowes me to pursue a problem more abstractly. I.E. i can go into a situation and say 'i want to do this', and live will allow me to pursue the problem from a multitude of angles, rather than a single one. i don't know if this is making any sense..

anergyXT, analogbox.

protools all the way.

u r a pro tool.

i use an atari and a 2 acre modular.

one of the oscillators is also my lounge room.

we should make astroid a shirt that says pro tool

my favourites are max/msp, renoise and wavelab, and then i use cubase or logic to tie stuff together.

i hate the fact there's no wavelab for osx
can't seem to find a decent wave-editor for osx
i use too use ableton a lot, then i got into programing and i bought max/msp, im pretty happy with it,i also bought reaktor last year and know im using rewire to live and reaktor as a vst.

The most productive I ever was was with ACID 3.0 in the 1999-2001 era.

But, I use Ableton + Operator + MicroTonic + FabFilter One now.

I haven't tried Ardour cos the whole Jack idea doesn't swing for me. I looked at it and I thought "no, I can't be arsed with this".
I use Cubase a bit, Live 6 mostly. At the moment i'm sequencing beats using mods in Rebirth then going into Live for everything else. I have Renoise as well but I don't use it much cos it doesn't really inspire me, as good as it is.
i love FL and it just gets more powerful with each release. A mac version would be sweet though I know it ain't gonna happen.
So for me at the moment a combination of things but swinging it all into Live

"can't seem to find a decent wave-editor for osx"

look at Wave Edtior link

I just bought max/msp...last summer I'll be a student, so I thought I might as well take advantage of half price.
