--> i was talking about it every now and then the last half year and some of you know already.
Finally… my third album is released. after nearly 2 and a half years without a full length release i again have some news to spread:

nq - purple skies was just released on kitty yo from berlin.

that's what the release info says:
nq - purple skies

the german sound and netartist nq aka nils quak has just
finished his third longplayer purple skies which will be released
at kitty-yo digital on june 1st 2007. after several albums and
eps for netprojects and labels such as progressive form, i can't
break you break records, tonatom, retinascan und kyo records
nq is now taking the next logical step with the new full album
release. purple skies features 11 new tracks and 50 minutes of
contemporary electronica filled with hypnotic breaks, far away
melodies, minimal structures, clicks’n’cuts aesthetics and dusty
bits of sweet emotion. nq creates a quiet and yet powerful idea
of electronic music for places apart from urban clubs and
modern architecture.

nq is also part of the international stfu network und festival. in
august 2007 kitty-yo digital will release an remix ep featuring
various reworks of tracks from purple skies. further infos will
be posted soon at link

available for download as mp3 or wav at:

funny thing is. like 4 years ago i thought being big in japan might have been an option.
but i was young, naive and totally wrong.
haha

they asked me. simple as that.

still feels all a little bizarre

not as bizarre as when you played at STFU weimar wearing that Alpine milkmaid outfit. [shudder]

well done with this Nils. Ive been playing this on my ipod on the way to work for a while and still enjoy all that albino geeky goodness! ;)
cheers chris.
though i was wearing that dress, i still was puzzle because of you wearing a skirt made out of saussages

haha @ IDM in 2007
Well done, Nils.

yeah - i'd totally be up for organizing a yogsuit japan tour. maybe we could rob that c&nt from progressive form? if you can get the airfare over here we can put together an event - no problem. i'm sure zack'd be into it too, tho i've yet to meet the guy as he keeps bailing on me

he missed some damn good butoh on sunday
anyway, nils, have you got any japan distribution for your cd lined up at all?

no cd-distribution. as this release was digital release only.

a tour would be ace, but i think, with all the work i have at my job, this won't be doable. work sucks.
big time

you could do a report on roland's hq or something while there..

haha.
souns like a good idea

well, if you get some peace at the job, let me know. i dropped my last job, because, basically, i had the same problem - too many hours. still, you got your album finished whilst doing loads of work. i've been cruising on part-time for months and mine is still very much in the half-baked stage. is that the power of IDM? ;)
