I totally LOVE IT.

fook

it's my birthday, somebody please?

Crazy.

I know vocoders existed before 70, though (weren't they originally an effort to reduce the bandwidth required to transmit the human voice?). Why is this a prototype?

a prototype made by that specific company.

Ah, makes sense.

telephone systems are vocoders.
since the 20s

I did not know that. I learn something new here everyday.

well, not exactly.
but close.
they weren't real "vocoders" per se.. but they were bandwidth limited filters in the same vein.
OMG that's so stupid.

stop saying "fook", dudes. that's so stupid...

:P

that's fook'n cool! the more transformers and huge caps the hotter :D

Holy shit, that's the holy grail of vocoders!

But I think it'd prolly be a continual pain in the ass. Still, it'd look great beside my Casio VL-1.

fook off....

That's very very Lovely.

Though calling it Mother sounds like they're claiming its the first, which it isn't. Chicken and egg I guess.

I wonder if the filters still track:}
