I heard about this before I saw it just now. Some guy mentioned it to me and a friend earlier today, and he was going on how he was a communist and that this sort of technology belongs to the people. I just said, yeah, yeah, totally and walked off. I thought he was out of it or something. Then I searched for the video he mentioned. Holy moly.
After seeing this I immediately thought, isn't there a movie that starts like this? Then this guy becomes a target for terrorists hired by the oil companies and is hunted down with only Jean Claude VanDamme at his side.
Just watch the video. And pray that this guy doesn't die.

he hasn't really stated anything to agree on though, it's not like he's all "This is going to save the world!" he's more like "look isn't this cool? i bet there are practical uses to this" so it's not one or the other. and stop being such a lousy troll, you're attempts at flame bait are both unfunny and ineffective.

"If I were to be bold enough, I think one day you could power an automobile with this, eventually,"
its quite simple....
more energy in than the resulting energy out = not efficient ... that is the general view of the people that posted in the thread.
you either dont understand that or you just like to disagree with everything.
no body said he was evil or anything ... just that it doesnt make sense to use a fuckload of electricity to make a little flame to turn a turbine.
what is the problem with saying that? are we not allowed to say what seems quite obvious?
i wasnt trying to flame bait. i was stating my opinion. which still stands.

R & D is taking place all over the world using hydrogen in some way for fuel alternatives.
this is a strange but mildly amusing offshoot.
look up fast-breeder reactors. that does not seem like a probable thesis, yet works like a dirty radiating charm.
whatever. good luck to anyone who can make us fuel that doesn't make me throw up whenever i ride in a car.

Man, guys give this guy a break.
Who cares if it uses more energy than it produces at this point?
It's a freaking experiment.
Do you think the first cars got good gas mileage? did people still find it amazing anyway?
He says "eventually" he'd like to see his invention powering cars ect. he knows it's just a working idea at this point it needs a lot of work.
Why are so many dismissive of this. It's like your all saying this:
"If this TV executive can't solve the world energy problems with an invention designed to do something else, then he should fook off"
Give me a break. If he stumbled on to this while circuit bending you'd all be whistling a different tune I'd bet.
