I just got a Casio MT-600 and I am in LOVE with the thing. It has the same sort of sound as the lower range in the MT series, but it has an ANALOG FILTER! That means instant classic when combined with an inability to stay in tune, and a really low sample rate, noisy output.

Everything in that mp3 but the drums is completely unmodified MT-600! To get some of the chorus effects I multitracked the same parts with the fine tune knob cranked.
It's not too hot with bass- it doesn't go too low.
I plan to do a mod I found on the interweb that boost the cutoff and resonance limits and brings a control for each out on the front panel.

well sweet i like the mt and ht serie of casio synth i use to own a ht-700 that in a way seem to all be the same thing with light variation in the function but still casio is the best in my book

I know, I see this blog as about the 4th listing. Right behind a video of an awesome filter mod. Great. Now I'll never get another one of these for under $100!
The only one thats up right now is from one of those drive-by auction houses. "Please note this product is used and is being sold AS IS. Although this keyboard appears to be intact, please be aware that it has not been tested in-store."
It has the adapter, and they won't plug it in to press a key to see if its working. And they won't guarantee that it's not DOA.
I hate ebay. This is why I haven't bought or sold anything on there in about 5 years.

There's just too little good will going around that community. Everybody has been burnt, everybody I dealt with got angrier and meaner. And the the last two people I dealt with sat on my money until I threatened to call the police. I ended up having to call the parents of a sixteen year old girl who sold me my p-bass.
Then my parents got their identity stolen through ebay, and their ID was hijacked and listed 1500 "Mechanical Christmas Goat Display L@@K!" and "Pantasonic 52" Plasma TV L@@K!" listings.

So what happened with this? Did you just put it back into the closet for future repair? Is it magically working again? Do Tell. Loved the demos, btw. I like that little Fugue thingy near the middle of the second demo.
