So this is how it went down and ended up.
Friday I get notice that my roomate doesn't want to keep the place anymore. So naturaly because I wanted it in the first place, I figure what it would take to get it. She wants her deposit even tho she only gave 2 days notice, and I figure if the place in the BX is cool enough to give me my deposit back, then i'd give her her money.
So I call this nice lady, she says she will give my my $600 back. Then I think about it and realize that I'd rather just move like I said in the first place. I call her back explain the situation and tell her that I will be moving in after all. And that is settled.
So on saturday My roomate starts taking her stuff out, even though she said she'd stay if I was leaving. I ask her if she's leaving also. She say's yes. Me a little nervous knowing that if she didn't give our land lord 1 month notice we don't get our deposit back, aslo knowing that I gave my RM on month and had her sign a contract saying what money she owes me. That sneaky little bitch grabbed the amplifier and took it. I didn't notice till she was gone and I called her demanding my money, she said she will give it to me on Sunday. ahahah. yeah right, I knew that bitch just stole my amp.
So I called her back saturday to check about my $625 she by contract owes me, of course she says the contract is null and she's not paying me my money.
So I call my landlord to see if he'll give it to me and, very understandably, he say's he too got skrewed by my theif of a RM by not giving notice she was moving out so he need's it to pay rent to the building owner.
I think about it for abit, then call him back and see if it's cool that I get my friend to move in and pay rent and our deposit stays with him. Basically swapping and bad RM with a good RM, and not paying the bad RM her deposit because she 1. she didn't give 1 month notice. 2. she is a Gdmn theif. He says cool. I call my friend and get that underway which becomes a hassle and dealing with western union, but still going to work in the end. I thought I finnally saved my ass from getting completely skrewed out of my deposit, just losing the $192 of the Amp the the RM stole. I call my friend who was supposed help me move to tell him I won't need to use his truck anymore and thanks. Then I call the same nice lady in BX to ask her again if I can have my money back, she is abit confused and frustrated, but says it's OK.
SO sunday I wake up and my land lord is showing my place to some people. I'm like, dude, what the heck is going on? I thought we had this figured out. After the people leave he explains that after all of this crap from this weekend with my RM, he's decided that he would like to rent it to some one else. Mainly some sculptors that won't live there. I understand because I put myself in his shoes, plus not like I have a choice. He say's he's going to give me my deposit back as soon as he gets some one in.
SO I call the nice lady back and once again explain my situation, which totally ruins any confidence she had in me to begin with. I basically beg for her to let me stil move in. She says yes. I call my friend that I was going to borrow the truck from to see if now @ 6pm I can still borrow the truck. He says yes and but he won't be able to help me. Thats cool, thanks, I'll be there right away.
So 1 HR to BX and get directions home, back, finish packing, load, back to BX to my new home, its 11:30pm. While loading my old land lord comes up and tells me alittle about what just came to his attention.
Evidentally my thief of a RM showed our place to 2 different people and took a total of $1100 from them for a deposit to move in with out talking to him(land lord). She turned off her phone and text him saying that now its his problem. Of course not suprised, I said I think I know her parents address and home phone number to give to these people, if they wanted to get the cops involved. I really hope they do. Back to loading. Do the same, getting done at 4 am on Monday morning.
Not to mention doing all of this with litterally zero dollars, and the luck that my metro card had one last day before it expired.
Now, if my old land lord honors his words and gives me my deposit back. Then I will not have gotten skrewed completely. Although the $192 that bitch owes me I will never forget and one day karma will break her other arms and legs.
Shoooooo!
This is not a feel bad for me Blog... This is a warning!!! not sure for what but definately a truthful account from my view of the situation that someone took full advantage of.

sharing a flat with people can be hard work. some people skank you for bills or just live like a pig. looks like you met a serial pisstaker. especially ripping off $1100 in deposits from possible renters [that whole 'fake renting ' aspect is fucking psycho].

Zanf, yes thats her I belive.
I thought about calling the cops, but I should have done that on saturday when she stole it, plus the fact that it's half hers makes me think the cops wouldn't give as much of a shit.
Zanfs right, I am absolutely happy to be done with this shit, and truely I didn't expect to spend that much energy on it in the first place, I tried to keep from fighting when I felt like I was only being pushed, but when you're stuff and money is at stake, I had to start caring and not just run.
Hahaha, yeah, diagrams and stuff would be hilarious. I think it would really explain it out well, its not easy explaining this to peopley by mouth, I get about 1/3 through till they are like, shit that sucks.

yiz0ink...that's some shit. such a pity you can't trust 'nice looking' people anymore. i wouldn't turn to revenge or anything, just shit on her with ignorance and glee the next time she's in your presence..
either way, the landlords were totally cool along this whole ordeal. props for them...hopefully the old one will come thru with the goods.
