right, but i thought you were talking about honesty in music....not genre names....everybody knows genres are for twits

ok maybe not everybody

Once I became around 24 I started to stop and smell the roses... it's been nice, getting instruments that I would have never thought of having before. Simple is great... Innovation is pointless at the moment because the "new" music of the past 10 years haven't proven to be better in anyway. And then file sharing and the internet didn't help either... music just doesn't seem to mean as much to people anymore, despite what some might say.

can't agree with you more. Nicely put.

common .. like i always say .. people are like plants .. you step on em .. theyre screwd up for life ..

bent over .. wilted with a big knot in the middle where you broke its stalk ... people are the same .. bent up .. broken .. scrwed up, .. its just not as easy to tell .. and unlike a plant, .. we dont freely give away our pity to people .. i think djugle and psyingo needa just stop and give out some pity, sure the scene is pathetic, .. sure nagrom might not be as sophisticated as you are (!) but really .. who the hell are you guys to say your any better off, bunch of nerds with nothing better to do that make up abstractions about a culture theyre no longer a part of or people theyve never met ..

and so am i!

hahahahaha

psyingo sucks

Exactly. I think a lot of music nowadays is too eager to be popular and loved. Get a room, already.

Here's some totally awesome music:

I couldnt disagree more with this analogy.

One of the most well balanced, compassionate people I have ever spent time with, had a terrible accident at 13 and was rendered quadraplegic [he had no sensation below the chest] but still dj'd better than 95% of all people Ive seen play.

others Ive known, who have gone through life with no major traumas are insensitive, selfish and throughly unpleasant people.

its not what cards youre dealt but how you play them that counts.
what an odd blog. SHANNON WRIGHT is nice Fredo...thanks.

isn't she? I feel like I'm exploding. She's awesome.

zanf: personally, i think the cards you are dealt are very important. fair enough some people buck the trend but not the majority. For example, there are many more (born) rich people that stay rich and do well for themselves than (born) poor people that transgress the boundaries into richness...and i don't mean to say it's all about money, that's just an example. Here is another one...my friend is profoundly deaf from birth, he tried to kill himself some years ago (before i knew him) by throwing himself off a railway bridge, instead he just ended up in a wheelchair...and he is still deeply sad with his life. The cards he was dealt had a definite affect on his life...

she is indeed Fredo. liking her sound a lot! i know it's a slight leap but are you into Joanna Newson and / or Hanne Hukkelberg? To be honest Shannon is more PJ Harvey than Joanna Newson to my ears...i love PJ and when I saw her live about a year ago she was tops...imho.

Don't get me wrong Fredo...she is very interesting in her own right!!!!! Enjoying........!

I am not a big Joanna Newsom fan. I like her, don't get me wrong, but something just doesn't connect with me. I'm not wild about her voice and I was disappointed by the second album... all the strings, it seemed a little less insightful than what I had expected from her.

I don't know PJ Harvey. Is she as trippy and concentrated as this music is????

Um, you don't know PJ Harvey? She is BIG. Mind you, I didn't know Shannon Wright PJ got massive and did one or two albums that were a bit too polished for my liking but i would say she is often every bit as trippy and concentrated as this - especially her early stuff.

I am a new convert to Joanna Newsom ...but i get what you are saying!
