Sam: sad story but jumping off that bridge was the hand he played and has to live with the consequences. Evelyn Glenie was born deaf but look how she dealt with it. [as another example]. my point isnt a cut and dry one but you have to step up to the challenge.

personally, i went through lot of shit in my childhood and it took me a long time [until my late 20s/early 30's] to sort it through it but now out the other side, its down to me if i want to see it that i was dealt a bad hand or to make the most of what I have and move upwards.

i agree with you about social mobility though and new [cuntfuck] labour have done nothing but help to arrest/stop any possibility for most people.

hey zanf,

i too disagree with colin on this, as he seems to be saying that what you get is what you get and that is it.......i agree with you that people have their own choices. i am just saying that the cards you are dealt do have an (often major) affect on this. i accept that a lot of people pull through the shitty times (you and me both) but i certainly found it hard to understand how my ex-girlfriend (who was profoundly deaf from birth) managed to put up with the shit cards she was dealt. In fact she did quite well - not great - but i beleive she is less likely to be cool in life than a twatty Eaton toff.............exceptions aside ...((plus deafness is not that major, in comparison with some cards you could be dealt...))

and yeah, new labour have failed us on social mobility...how sad, yet predictable.

hi fredo! did i send you the link to bowerbirds yet? here it is: link you can listen on their website. oh man, i'm uploading the remixes right now - my girlfriend just left, sorry it's been a whirlwind!

Once I became around 24 I started to stop and smell the roses... it's been nice, getting instruments that I would have never thought of having before. Simple is great... Innovation is pointless at the moment because the "new" music of the past 10 years haven't proven to be better in anyway. And then file sharing and the internet didn't help either... music just doesn't seem to mean as much to people anymore, despite what some might say.

Past-core.

LOL BURNT

Psyingo, you may be right.
I'm still growing and figuring things out.
I like to test my convictions by vigorously defending them and seeing if they crack under the pressure of resistance. I think that bothers a lot of people. I'm thinking about modifying my style of intellectual inquiry. Your opinion is noted and will be considered.

Today, after lifting antiques for a wealthy shop owner all day, her young, blond, plump, vacant, southern secretary, as she was handing me a cheque, said, "you are very condescending". I chuckled and replied, "heh, ok".

who doesn't love psyingo? i mean besides maybe morgan, now.

Aw, come on. Who am I to get angry at people for having an opinion about me?

I wonder if people secretly hate me cause I'm a big goofy redneck.

welcome to the club skip.
i know people hate me for being a pretentious loudmouth

can we form a band of high school misfits?
