--> so on thursday i got in from work, got some tea and sat down at the computer to do a bit of em411ing whilst i was eating.
then this crazy shit happened....

i had about 2 mouthfuls of tuna steak (mmmmm) then i got what i thought was a cramp under my chin .... it became quite clear within about 3 seconds that it wasnt a cramp at all!
the 'cramp' feeling got very intense, spread all over the right hand side of my face and went really really numb. if you have ever slept on you arm by accident and woken up to find it feels totally dead but kinda swollen .... thats the only way i can describe the feeling.....but worse.

i knew there was something really wrong so i got up and tried to run into the kitchen and shout out to my dad. i couldnt get any words out at all or even force a noise out and by this time my eyes were rolling back into my head and i couldnt see where i was going. then i lost consciousness for around 3-5 minutes. all that happened very very fast... well under 10 seconds since first feeling the 'cramp'.

apparently i fell to the floor and was shaking around violently. all the colour drained from me, my lips went blue and my eyes 'rolled back' into my head. then i stopped moving for a while. i came around as the paramedics were taking me to the ambulance.

in hospital they told me id had a seizure and did lots of test and brain scans ... all of which were negative so they let me go home friday afternoon. ive got to go back next week so they can run more tests and scan my brainwaves. they dont know what caused it but some doctors said it could be epilepsy. im 24 and nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

ive got a huge lump on my head where i hit the ground and all my muscles - legs, arms, back, stomach, shoulders, neck - are aching like you wouldnt believe ... i can hardly get up stairs!!

feel a bit groggy and drained too..... im ok though... just feel like ive had a very hard game of rugby

because i had a seizure i can not drive for a year!!!!
A FRIGGING YEAR!!!!!
i work 35 miles away. i bloody love my car too. the best bit about working all that way away was the nice drive over the pennines. good photo opportunites up there (see pics)

anyone else ever had a seizure or anything like that?
anyone get them regularly?
it kinda freaked me out

hell yeah working from home!

i wish i could catch fish from home.

yeah relax.
work from home. get a crapbook. the human body is a weird thing. sometimes it just whacks out.
so, when's your apointment with the doc and the results and such?

and hell yes. relocate to berlin. i'll be there more often in the future. would be cool

damn, i was hoping you would be really stressed aand have more seizures and piss yourself so I could point at you and laugh, calling you a pissy hippy spaz! ;)

glad to hear that youre optimistic kris - sounds like youre taking it in your stride and seeing what opportunities could come out of it [the move to berlin, etc].

dont go to berlin if yogurtsynth is going to be there though because he smells of piss from having prissy fits!!

at least i just smell like piss, as the last time i saw you, you had a mouth ful of elphant cum and wanking off into used diapers

now thats just nasty nils. its a sign that youre a really bitter person and I wish I could say that i know youre better than that but youre not, so I cant.

haha. i thought you like it nasty. at least that's what you keep telling me on teh video chat

From what I understand, seizures are actually common in males. If I remember correctly, a high percentage actually have one at some point in their life. I highly doubt you developed latent epilepsy.

It's worth mentioning, a friend of mine just suffered a seizure a few months back. His diagnosis was that it was related to alcohol withdrawl. He was a frequent, but not heavy, drinker and then pretty much stopped. One day after a night of partying and drinking (weeks after having "stopped"), he got the seizure.

He's been fine since.

sorry to hear that, soft. hopefully it's just some unspeakable anomaly, never to be repeated again.
list of people having seizures: link
interesting stuff.there are whole lists of authors' use of seizures in narrative fiction online.
i had overactive synapses of sorts when i was younger. usually people would try to pretend nothing happened but
i started to notice the coming to cognition on the ground. if it becomes a continuing problem that you are
unable to find means of control (works for me), then a speciallist would be best. there are too many different
types of epilepsy and seizure causes in the world. hopefully, you only had a low blood sugar day or something.
will think good thoughts for ya.

oh. by means of control, what i meant was that when i get the feeling of lights dimming and things getting heavier, I have a mental process that i've develeloped and go through (thought process) that seems to bypass the physical reaction completely. I have no explanation, only that I got really pissed and tired of blacking out and what-have-you. many epileptics will tell you they "know one is coming". some people hallucinate vividly for quite a while. its all hearsay. there should be more information, but generally, stress is a factor in the severity of seizures as well.

shit dood, that's some whack toona!

hope its a one-off and things works out for you.

sorry to hear about this dood...
i second, third and fourth everything that was said... cept for the chot's comments (dude...seriously??)

maybe take up some sort of mental relaxation techniques... some sort of meditation??
check with the doctor first though!!!
i dont want to be the cause of your next one

good luck with the working from home/moving to berlin!
man...wish i had a seizure so i could work from home and move to berlin

whwo, soft, this is heavy! man, i hope youre ok (sounds like it) and that you will stay ok.

you sure it was tuna? maybe you were chewing on a stingray or something and got a shot of poison in you?

hmmmmmmm. maybe not.

get well. use the change for something positive.

oh my god! i'm so glad that you are okay.
so so scarry.

scary shit - gotta love it when life throws you a swerve ball.

i'm moving back to manchester 4 weeks, lets grab some beers.
