thanks so much!!!!
wasn't expecting such a reaction... honestly I'm really just a beginner, there are so many amazing things you can do when curating both audio and video by yourself. And it's probably such a better show for the audience then just a guy and laptop ( respect for that.. but sometimes is just sooooo boring.. i know.. i did that so many times.. ).
Isadora is just great, easy and optimized for live performances.. this means you don't have to program ultra parametric patches in order to do an hour live set but you can do a single patch for a single tune and then just control via midi the switch / crossfading / whatever. This makes easy to get creative with the software, you just sketch ideas and then they're ready for using.. don't need to program complex systems as in Max. That is cool but lacks of immediacy sometimes.

yeah it's exciting - having a set of individual video patches running for each audio track in Live, with a trigger scene set to progress to the next vid would be ace, plus all those little intricate ties reacting to audio inside each track.
bluemutt - so does isodora react to audio too, or just midi? even if it's only midi, like you say, splitting the midi controller output to the vid laptop to control some effects parameters within the track's vid would be cool.

Isadora reacts to audio as well, in a pretty good way i would say. It doesn't handle multiple inputs (just L R) but if you send the right stuff and properly set the trigger levels you get some visible interaction. In my case, i use to send the same midi signal from the midi controller to both laptos.. so i can do stuff like pressing a key and having the beat repeating and the shape rotating.. while for example the intensity of the shape depends on the amplitude of the beat. This simple connection of 3 things can already give you a great result in terms of "visibility of the music".

Oh, and a little trick I'm using that is quite effective is to use Live sends as groups.. and then i send them to the L and R of the video laptops.. so Isadora is not really getting the stereo signal you hear but 2 different things and you can use that to have more control on the videos.
