Got my album back today from mastering!
As a gift to you all I give you MP3s of the full CD... available for download for a limited period only, so act fast!
I ask one thing of you for this 99.9%-free preview: I'm having a little trouble deciding how to release this. I'm strongly thinking of cutting out the first 3 songs and releasing the remaining 9.
Both me and jdg agree that tracks 1, 2 and 3 are the weakest... but, jdg says to release all 12 because the theme isn't as coherent without them.
Who's right, me or jdg: release the last 9 or all 12?

Yes, I think it is organ too... but there is quite a bit of accordion on there too... mostly background drones.
For anyone wanting correct mp3 tags (mr. viola? I'm lookin in your direction) the properly encoded tracks are currently being uploaded.

This is an absolutely beautiful album. Please don't cut a thing. The first track is amazing. I understand why you would think some of the tracks could be cut out. But the album would suffer in my opinion. It flows together so sweetly. We need the breakup in order to get reenergized by your other fantastic tracks.
I'm truly stunned by this. But if you really feel like you can't stand those 3 tracks I suggest releasing a second, lighter version. Call it the driving mix or something! Anyway, I'm going to continue drooling onto my macbook keyboard while I listen to this and work.

Wow, thanks everyone!
I think I nearly decided to keep them all. My reasoning for getting rid of them is that I don't find 1, 2 or 3 that interesting or original... without them the album takes a style I'm happier with. But I'm pretty biased, so maybe I'll give them some time.
I'm honestly a little disappointed with how the album turned out... I was hoping for a style completely different then what I got. But I figure I'll release this somehow and try a new one.

Thanks for the music!
I can see how releasing everything together would be great, but maybe it's because the continuous mix of the songs make it difficult to mix and match, especially since there are a number of different parts within a song itself that might fit into other tracks. It's difficult to separate if they're all continuous. 1 & 2 seem to flow pretty well though.
Maybe the middle of track 2 at the end of the album?
Also rhythmically, i find most of the changes to be too similar to each other. A more daring shift in tempo or key would solve it. Each track is really charming in of itself, but i couldn't quite do 50 odd minutes of it. As a personal preference, i thought dropping the beats and going all droney would've been great as a change of pace.

sounds great, but i why would you lead off your album with a track you don't really like? i'd say get rid of it if you don't like it and find an opener you think kicks things off more solidly.
