Electronic Mega Show this Friday- A/V, Electro-Acoustic...

This Friday I'm happy to be hosting a super ALL-STAR electronic music and visuals show. It's cool we were able to line everyone up for one night.
RANDY JONES (ORAC- Seattle)
MARK TEMPLETON (ANTICIPATE- Alberta, Canada)
LULLATONE (AUDIO DREGS- Japan)
WHITE RAINBOW (KRANKY- Portland)
Randy Jones was on the design and debugging team for Cycling 74's JITTER software so you know he's the real deal in audio-visual stuff. If I can find the extra PA system he'll do a Quadrophonic A/V scene. Musically, this is like a cross between Morton Subotnik, Terry Riley, old school Autechre, and Frank Bretschneider. Visually, it is a lik e a neon-backlit impressionist painting in motion. UNBELIEVABLE AND NOT TO BE MISSED IF YOU ARE A FAN OF CUTTING EDGE AUDIO VISUAL MUSIC!!!
Mark Templeton is an electro-acoustic artist on the new Microcosm-affiliated label from New York called Anticipate. He's from Alberta and does mesmerizing, noisy, and textured guitar-meets-computer music that I would say relates to stuff on the wall-of-sound side of things, Tim Hecker might be a reference point. His first portland show.
Lullatone have had 3 CDs of abstracted sine-tone pop on local mainstay AUDIO DREGS label. This is their first Portland show that I know of and we're glad to host them since their Artistery show was cancelled!
White Rainbow has been a local digital-hippy/ambient star for some time now and his next CD comes out this fall on Kranky. It is KILLER and I got an advance copy which features artwork that strangely resembles a Dr. Bronner's bottle. You know this will be deep.
Strategy DJs in between bands, all his best and weirdest records.
Please please please come to this - we are so lucky to have 3 esteemed out of town artists all on one bill!
